Working Principle

• The machine operates based on the principle of shear and extrusion. Inside the sealed kneading chamber, two specially designed rotors rotate relative to each other. The spiral grooves on the rotor surfaces subject the rubber material to intense shearing, extrusion, and stretching forces. This causes the rubber molecular chains to break and rearrange, enhancing the plasticity and uniformity of the rubber.
• The pressurizing device applies pressure to the rubber in the kneading chamber, increasing the friction between the rubber and the rotors as well as the chamber walls. This further intensifies the kneading effect, ensuring the uniform mixing of rubber with various additives and improving the quality of rubber products.

Structural Components

• Power System: Consists of a main motor, reducer, and other components. The main motor, usually with a power of 110KW for a 75L pressurized rubber kneading machine, provides the power for the rotation of the main shaft. The reducer reduces the high speed of the motor to a speed suitable for the rotation of the rotors and increases the torque to meet the force requirements for kneading rubber.
• Kneading Chamber: It is the core part for rubber kneading, made of high-strength wear-resistant materials. There are two parallel rotors inside. The kneading chamber is usually of a jacketed structure, through which heating or cooling media can be passed to control the temperature during the kneading process.
• Pressurizing Device: Generally composed of components such as an air cylinder, piston, and sealing block, located above the kneading chamber. Compressed air or hydraulic oil is introduced into the air cylinder to drive the piston to move the sealing block downward, applying pressure to the rubber in the kneading chamber. The pressure can be adjusted according to process requirements.
• Feeding and Discharging Devices: The feeding hopper is located at the upper part of the kneading machine and is used to put rubber raw materials and various additives into the kneading chamber. Some kneading machines are also equipped with an automatic feeding system to accurately control the feeding quantity and time. The discharge port is located at the bottom or side of the kneading chamber. The kneaded rubber is discharged from the machine through a tilting discharge mechanism or a screw discharge device.
• Heating/Cooling System: The heating methods usually include steam heating and electric heating, while the cooling method generally adopts circulating water cooling. Through the temperature control system, the temperature of the kneading chamber can be accurately controlled according to the requirements of the rubber kneading process, ensuring that the rubber is kneaded within an appropriate temperature range.
